Area 34 needs your input for the
2010 General Service Conference (Panel 60)
Conference Theme for Discussions & Workshops
Your General Service Area is hoping to submit a suggestion for the overall Theme of the upcoming
General Service Conference in New York. We will also submit Presentation/Discussion Topics and
Workshop Topics to support the suggested overall theme. The Agenda Committee of the GSC will
choose the 2010 Theme at the next GSC (Panel 59/2009), but we would like you to participate in this
process with us and we need your input!
We are asking DCMs to take this form to their districts to be handed out to their GSRs. The GSRs
will take them back to their groups to solicit ideas and return them back to their DCMs at the
September 2008 monthly District meeting, where each District will choose one to submit to the Area.
Then, the DCMs will bring the District’s chosen Theme to the October Area assembly and give it to
the Area Chairman. The Area Chairman will compile a list of the choices for November’s agenda and
we will arrive at one overall Theme with relative Presentation/Discussion topics to submit from our
Area. We will then submit one which represents our Area’s ideas and submit that theme to the
General Service Office in December to be considered for the 2010 General Service Conference by the
Panel 59 Agenda Committee (April 2009).
Please bring your Theme ideas to the October 2008 Area 34 assembly!
(Themes from past General Service Conferences are on the reverse.)
