A.A. Tradition 7 - Self Support

The A.A. groups themselves ought to be fully supported by the voluntary contributions of their own members. We think that each group should soon achieve this ideal; that any public solicitation of funds using the name of Alcoholics Anonymous is highly dangerous, whether by groups, clubs, hospitals, or other outside agencies; that acceptance of large gifts from any source, or of contributions carrying any obligation whatever, is unwise. Then too, we view with much concern those A.A. treasuries which continue, beyond prudent reserves, to accumulate funds for no stated A.A. purpose. Experience has often warned us that nothing can so surely destroy our spiritual heritage as futile disputes over property, money, and authority.

A.A. Member Contributions

Here are some addresses to send contributions either by group or personal - as outlined by our General Service Office (G.S.O).  Please note that the maximum personal contribution to the Fellowship has been set to $3000.00(*) dollars USD. Self-support Pamphlet

The AA General Service Conference Recommends the following distribution of group funds as a suggestion after group expenses have been met: 10% to District, 10% to area, 30% to G.S.O., 50% to Intergroup or Central Office.
It is up to your  informed group conscience to decide how you will distribute funds.

Finance— that the annual limit contributed to the General Service Board from individual A.A. members be increased from $2,000 to $3,000 and that bequests from A.A. members should be subject to the same limit and continue to be on a one-time basis and not in perpetuity.
